Reason Songs

other than bitrate and mp3 format is there a reason why songs wont play on my sd micro chip?

so i converted all songs to 32kbps and they are all mp3 format. My micro sd chip is 1GB and i only have like less than 20 songs on it. The peculiar thing is only some songs will display on the phone even though i put more. i dont understand why some songs wont play. So if its not the bitrate or the play format (mp3) what could be another reason songs dont play on my phone? and what can i do about it?

1. It would well be corruption or it could well be recorded on VBR (Variable Bitrate) as opposed to CBR (Constant Bitrate) ?!
